The Springfield Thunderbirds continue their push to the Calder Cup Playoffs on Saturday as they visit the Bridgeport Islanders.

Entering AHL league action on Saturday, March 22, the Thunderbirds' Magic Number to clinch a playoff berth sits at 14.

That Magic Number can be lowered in one of two ways:

1. The Magic Number drops with each point earned by the T-Birds via wins and OT/SO losses
2. The Magic Number drops whenever Hartford fails to earn a point in their remaining games (i.e. the magic number drops by 1 for each Wolf Pack OT or SO loss; the magic number drops by 2 for each Wolf Pack regulation loss)
