A fourth-round pick of the Blues in 2020, Dickinson had a resilient season in 2023-24 after missing all of 2022-23 recovering from a broken femur suffered in his final OHL season with the Soo Greyhounds the year before. Prior to the injury, Dickinson had recorded 47 points (18g, 29a) in just 35 OHL games during the 2021-22 season.

In 45 games with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears, Dickinson posted 26 points (8g, 18a). When called upon in Springfield, Dickinson delivered three goals during his 17-game stint with the T-Birds.
