Originally a seventh round pick by the Lightning in 2011, Peca is entering his fifth season in the Blues organization and third as Thunderbirds captain.
In 222 games in Springfield, Peca has put up a team-record 199 points (75g, 124a). He also begins the 2025-26 season second all-time in T-Birds history in goals and first all-time in assists.
Peca had a stellar season in 2023-24 with 41 points in 48 games, but his 2024-25 season proved to be the most prolific of the veteran's career. Peca was named to the AHL First All-Star Team after the captain posted a career-high 31 goals and 63 points. He became the fourth T-Bird ever to record 30 goals in a season.
Prior to his pro career, Peca was a four-year star at Quinnipiac University, where he led the Bobcats to the national championship game in 2013.
