ST. LOUIS, MO - St. Louis Blues General Manager Alexander Steen announced today that the Blues have assigned two players to their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, including defenseman Calle Rosen and goaltender Georgii Romanov.

Romanov, 26, is entering his second season in the Blues organization. In 28 regular season games with the Blues' AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, Romanov posted a 9-12-3 record with a 3.29 goals-against average and .896 save percentage.

Romanov rose to the occasion in the Calder Cup Playoffs, helping the T-Birds knock off both the Charlotte Checkers and the Providence Bruins en route to the Atlantic Division Finals. In 11 playoff starts, Romanov had a 7-4 record, a 1.84 goals-against average, a .939 save percentage, and two shutouts. 

Rosen, 32, returned to the Blues organization in a trade with the Washington Capitals last November and posted 31 points (8g, 23a) in 61 games with Springfield during the 2025-26 season. He added seven points (3g, 4a) in 12 Calder Cup playoff contests. 

Over a 421-game AHL career, the native of Vaxjo, Sweden has totaled 229 points (44g, 185a) and 172 penalty  minutes. 

The T-Birds begin the 2026-27 regular season this Saturday, Oct. 3 in Wilkes-Barre for a contest with the Penguins with a 6:05 p.m. scheduled puck drop from Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza.
