Bruins Alumni To Take MassMutual Center Ice Saturday

Springfield, MA - The MassMutual Center will play host to a hockey fan's dream doubleheader on Saturday, Nov. 19. Prior to the Springfield Thunderbirds taking the ice for a matchup with the Providence Bruins, the Boston Bruins Alumni Team will be skating in a benefit game for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County, beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET. The exhibition showcase featuring the Bruins Alumni is presented by Balise Auto Group and King Ward Coach Lines.

Headlining the Bruins Alumni is Rick Middleton, who scored 356 goals over 12 seasons in Boston from 1976-88. Other notable names include former Bruins goaltender Reggie Lemelin (who will play as a forward) and Kenny Hodge

For the special exhibition game, MassMutual Center doors will open at 3:45 p.m., with puck drop in the Bruins alumni game set for 4:00 p.m. ET. Fans with a ticket to the Thunderbirds' tilt with the Providence Bruins at 7:05 p.m. ET will obtain admission to the Bruins Alumni game.
 
Springfield will quickly depart on Thursday afternoon in preparation for a visit to New York and a date with the Utica Comets on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. ET. From there, the Thunderbirds will return home for their first matchup of the season with Providence on Saturday.
