Panthers Assign F Valk to T-Birds
SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has loaned forward Curtis Valk to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).
Valk, 24, appeared in one game with Florida, making his NHL debut on Nov. 14 vs. Dallas. He has posted 15 points (6-9-15) over 16 games this season with Springfield.
Undrafted, the 5-foot-9, 170-pound native of Medicine Hat, Alberta, signed an entry-level contract with Florida on July 1, 2017.
Springfield next takes to the road for a 3:00 p.m. matinee in Bridgeport on Sunday against the Sound Tigers before embarking on a trek to Pennsylvania to battle the Hershey Bears on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Giant Center.
