SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds have announced a pair of new roles for two members of their award-winning business staff, as James Woodward has been elevated to Senior Account Executive, while John Jones, Jr. will take on the role of Manager of Business Development & Retention. 

Woodward joined the T-Birds in 2021 as a game night intern and moved into a full-time role with the sales department in 2023. A graduate of Western New England University, Woodward is one of several front office staffers who turned experience gained while still in school into a full-time job with the organization.

Jones joined the Thunderbirds’ ticket sales department in 2018-19 and has been part of the franchise’s rise at the box office ever since, with the club averaging more than 6,100 fans in each of the last four seasons at the 6,793-seat MassMutual Center. In his new role, Jones will continue to strengthen relationships with current T-Birds ticket members and roll out the welcome mat for newcomers to the Thunderdome.
