T-Birds Recall F Hunt from Manchester (ECHL)
Springfield, MA- The Springfield Thunderbirds announced that they have recalled forward Dryden Huntfrom the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL.
The 21-year-old Hunt has five goals and seven assists in 39 games played with Springfield in this, his rookie season in the AHL.
In his two-game assignment with the Monarchs, Hunt scored a pair of goals on Saturday in a 5-3 Manchester win over the South Carolina Stingrays. Hunt is one of five Thunderbirds all-time to record multi-goal games in a Springfield jersey. He recorded the first such feat in Springfield's 5-4 home opener victory over the St. John's IceCaps on Oct. 22.
Coming off a Saturday night win over the Sound Tigers, the Thunderbirds and Bridgeport will reconvene on Tuesday for another 7:00 p.m. ET puck drop. Springfield's win on Saturday snapped Bridgeport's eight-game winning streak, which tied for the longest such achievement in the AHL this season.
The Thunderbirds are back on MassMutual Center ice on Friday, Feb. 10 as Ric Flair makes a visit to Springfield for "Throwback Night" with a piece of Flair. Flair's special appearance, presented by Big Y and Lia Auto Group.
