T-Birds Sign F Ryan Horvat to SPC
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Springfield Thunderbirds announced today that they have signed forward Ryan Horvat to an AHL Standard Player Contract. Horvat had been playing on a PTO to this point in the season.
This is the 25-year-old Horvat's second stint with Springfield after playing in 104 games with the club in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. In 116 games with the Thunderbirds, the winger has scored nine goals, dished out 32 assists, and logged 165 penalty minutes.
He began the 2018-19 season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he skated in six games, recording one assist and nine penalty minutes.
The native of Simcoe, Ont. is a former Calder Cup Champion with the Manchester Monarchs in 2014-15.
