T-Birds Sign G Etienne Marcoux to PTO
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Springfield Thunderbirds announced today that they have signed goaltender Etienne Marcoux to a PTO.
A 24-year-old native of Laval, QC, Marcoux arrives in Springfield fresh off an ECHL All-Star game appearance with the Indy Fuel earlier this month. Marcoux has compiled a 13-9-1 record with Indy in 25 appearances, posting a 2.96 goals against average and .920 save percentage.
Marcoux has played 34 professional games in the ECHL for Indy, Utah, and Rapid City, posting a 15-14-2 record, .918 save percentage and 3.02 goals against average. Prior to turning pro, Marcoux played for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, where he tended goal alongside current Florida Panthers goaltender Sam Montembeault during the 2013-14 season.
