Thunderbirds Recall F Zac Lynch from Manchester (ECHL)
Springfield, MA– The Springfield Thunderbirds made a pair of roster moves on Wednesday, announcing that they have recalled forward Zac Lynch from the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL. Additionally, the Thunderbirds assigned forward Jordan Smotherman back to Manchester.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Lynch is in his first full professional season following a standout four-year career at Robert Morris University. With the Colonials, Lynch scored 67 goals and added 90 assists for 157 points in 152 NCAA games.
In 11 games with the Monarchs this season, Lynch has scored four goals and added six assists for ten points, while posting a +4 rating.
Following a senior season that saw him score 25 goals and 55 points in 2015-16, Lynch signed a pro contract with the Portland Pirates, tallying one assist in seven games.
